Mysore Kirloskar — Hubli

Throughput time reduced 96–97% — generally regarded as India's first end-to-end lean factory transformation.

Toyota's visiting team, on seeing the factory: “We never expected to see such a factory in India.”

Bridgeport Perkasa — Indonesia

A five-year-old joint venture that had never shipped a machine. Six months later, swamped with orders from Asia and Europe.

A turnaround visited by the Indonesian President and the American Ambassador.
